Support that keeps you working
Warranty procedures, preventive maintenance, safety information, technical guidance, and support for Standard Truck and Tank equipment.
Documents & guidance
Use these resources as a starting point. Component-manufacturer instructions and the information supplied with your specific unit control when requirements differ.
For one year, we stand behind fabrication, welding, mounting, frame work, plumbing, wiring, hydraulic installation, and other upfitting performed by Standard Truck and Tank.
If we built it wrong, installed it wrong, or caused the failure, we will fix our work. We may handle the repair at our shop or approve another reasonable repair plan when bringing the truck back is not practical.
Bodies, hoists, pumps, PTOs, valves, controls, chassis parts, and other purchased components may have their own manufacturer warranty. We will help you identify the right path and work with the supplier when we can. We still stand behind our installation.
If the problem could affect safety, stop using the equipment and call us. Send photographs or video and tell us what happened. Give us a chance to inspect the issue and agree on the repair plan before another shop starts work.
One-year craftsmanship warranty: Transportation to and from our facility is not automatically included. If returning the truck is not practical, contact us before repairs begin so we can agree on the best way to handle it.
Warranty procedure
Tell us what happened and provide the unit, in-service date, mileage or hours, and a clear description of the problem.
Send photographs or video of the complete unit and the affected area. Keep any failed parts until we tell you they are no longer needed.
We will review the issue and decide whether the truck should come to us or whether another repair arrangement makes more sense.
If our craftsmanship caused the problem, we will repair our work or approve the agreed repair plan.
Preventive maintenance
Maintenance frequency must reflect the application, duty cycle, weather, load material, and component manufacturer requirements.
Inspect the body, hoist, rear hinges, tailgate latches, tarp, hydraulic hoses, fittings, controls, safety props, and visible mounting hardware. Correct unsafe conditions before operating.
Grease all designated pivot points, including hoist pivots, cylinder pins, rear body hinges, tailgate hinges, and other grease fittings supplied with the equipment.
Inspect fluid level, hose routing, abrasion, leaks, fittings, cylinder condition, and pump operation. Never search for a hydraulic leak with bare hands.
Check mounting hardware, hinge hardware, tailgate hardware, and accessory fasteners for looseness. Retorque to the applicable component or installation specification.
Remove trapped material and corrosive residue. Repair coating damage promptly and keep drains and moving components clear.
Safe operation
Only raise the body on firm, level ground with adequate overhead clearance. Keep personnel clear of the body, tailgate, hoist, load, and pinch points.
Troubleshooting
Confirm parking brake and interlocks, PTO engagement, control power, hydraulic fluid level, battery voltage, visible leaks, and that the load is within rating.
Stop operation and check fluid level and condition, hose restriction or damage, pump noise, binding, uneven loading, and pivot lubrication.
Lower and secure the body, shut the system down, relieve pressure, and keep hands away from suspected pinhole leaks. Contact qualified service personnel.
Do not force the mechanism. Check for trapped material, bent hardware, damaged pins, proper latch position, electrical power, and component-specific instructions.
If a condition affects safe operation, remove the equipment from service and contact Standard Truck and Tank at standardtank@protonmail.com.
